From Dated to Dreamy: A Total Revamp of a 90s Home

This 90s home received a complete makeover—once an outdated layout, it’s now a bright, functional, and contemporary family space. From layout improvements to refined finishes, every part of this full house renovation was designed to bring new life and flow to the home.

In the kitchen, the layout was carefully adjusted to create better connection with the family room. We opened part of the wall to introduce a breakfast bar, allowing natural light from the kitchen window to flow through and brighten the adjoining living space. This new feature not only opens up the area but also creates a welcoming spot for casual meals and family gatherings.

To make the most of the available space, we relocated the stairs to the corner, providing room for additional cabinetry and improving movement through the home. The new sliding timber door between the kitchen and study allows the two rooms to be connected or closed off as needed—offering flexibility, privacy, and a touch of warmth that complements the overall palette.

The kitchen design showcases a harmonious mix of timber tones, matte black finishes, and soft blush joinery, paired with geometric terracotta tiles for added texture and personality. Pendant lighting above the breakfast bar completes the look, giving the space a cozy and inviting glow.

This renovation highlights how thoughtful planning and skilled craftsmanship can breathe new life into an older home—turning a once dated 90s house into a modern, light-filled retreat designed for everyday living.

And the transformation doesn’t stop here—our team also completed the bathroom and laundry renovations as part of this full home project, ensuring the design language carried through the entire home. Both spaces reflect the same attention to detail, balance of materials, and clean, modern aesthetic.
